Davidson County Schools Strategic Plan 2014-18
Connect All:  Developing opportunities for success in the 21st century

Our strategy is an outline of our intended purpose and direction. It sets our priorities, focuses our energies and resources, and defines the logic behind our actions. But it will be an unfulfilled dream, if it is not followed by an operational plan – a plan that identifies the tactics we intend to use to accomplish our goals.

Our hard work has only just begun.

Every student in Davidson County today will enter a workforce that will require technological competency, creativity, innovation, communication skills and entrepreneurship abilities to compete successfully in our global environment.  It is our goal and responsibility to provide every student the opportunities to graduate with those skills and competencies. Our Strategic Plan is a map we will use to guide the Davidson County School District in obtaining goals to ensure our students and our employees, are prepared for the challenges of today’s world.

On December 11, 2014, Dr. Lory Morrow, superintendent of Davidson County School System, presented the first annual State of the Schools address before school administrators, Board of Education members, and community leaders.  We have a strategic plan to charter a successful journey for all students in Davidson County.

There have been many steps taken in developing the 2014-2018 strategic plan to include gathering feedback from stakeholders. The school system will monitor the plan twice a year and share progress of how goals are being met.

Dr. Morrow added, "We are always looking at ways we can be more efficient, be more effective and to increase student achievement. The strategic plan will help provide focus and direction for Davidson County Schools for the next four years. I encourage you to visit our website. Help us understand if we are going in the right direction or if we need to change direction. The success of our plan is truly a community effort."
