A cover letter and resume are required. You will now upload these items to your online portfolio instead of sending them by email.
By doing this you make your application visible to our district. Please continue to check the Davidson County Schools Job Board for future employment opportunities. Applications previously submitted will not transfer to the new system. Please submit your portfolio (application, cover letter, and resume) through TeacherMatch. Lateral Entry Applicants
Davidson County Schools values all applicants for teaching positions. Licensed teacher candidates are given first priority in the interviewing process . If the licensed candidate pool of applicants does not fill the need for a particular position, then lateral entry applicants are considered.
Applications submitted by lateral entry candidates who have already begun pursuing certification in the required licensure area will be reviewed first from the pool of lateral entry applicants.
The process for completing an application as a lateral entry teacher is the same as that for licensed teachers.The application process is described in the preceding paragraphs.
