Robotics at DCS

Davidson County Schools is excited to be implementing the CyberKids Robotics program for the 2014-15 school year. The program is designed to improve skills in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math.  Teams representing each elementary and middle school were selected to take part in the program. These teams attended Robotics camps over the summer where they were introduced to the program and given hands-on training. The students will work from September through March to design and build their own robots using specialized Legos. Teams will also complete a research project focusing on answering the question, “How can robotics and technology improve the way we learn?” On March 14, 2015 each team will come together at the Robo Davidson Competition to showcase what they have learned and compete for the title of Davidson County Schools Robotics Champion.
